Submission of Abstracts

The 2009 CSM Program Committee invites the submission of abstracts on original work for consideration for a Scientific Paper, Scientific Exhibit or Educational Exhibit in the Radiology Program, a Scientific Paper or Scientific Exhibit for inclusion in the Radiation Oncology Program, an Oral or Poster for inclusion in the AIR or the ACPSEM Programs. Please note that this is a combined meeting and reviewers may reallocate abstracts between the above categories.

Summary of Abstract Submission Instructions

Please read through the submission instructions listed below before preparing your abstract:

Step 1: Read the General Policies and Requirements for the submission of abstracts.

Step 2: Write your abstract following the Abstract Format & Layout Guidelines.

Step 3: Download Scientific Paper, Scientific Exhibit, Educational Exhibit or Oral and Poster Template and insert/add your abstract text. Save as a .doc document to your computer. Please note: Abstracts must not exceed 300 word limit, however this word limit excludes international invited speakers who may submit full papers. 

Step 4: Click on the button below to complete the Abstract Submission Form. It will be necessary to attach/upload the .doc copy of your abstract.

NOTE: Please print a copy of the abstract submission form for your records prior to clicking ‘upload’.

Abstract Submission for Invited Speakers

The online abstract submission form is now closed. If you are an Invited Speaker and have not yet submitted your abstract(s) for the Meeting, please email your abstract (formatted using the Invited Speaker abstract template) as a Microsoft Word attachment to csm2009@arinex.com.au.

Invited Speakers – International Guest Faculty

Please note that all International Invited Speakers are not restricted to the 300 word limit and are invited to submit full papers of their work. Please use the supplied template formatting guidelines and submit your abstract using the online form.

Invited Speakers – Australian and New Zealand Guest Faculty

Please note that all Australian and New Zealand Guest Faculty Speakers are not restricted to the 300 word limit and are invited to submit an abstract of 500 words in length. If you are an Invited Speaker and have not yet submitted your abstract(s) for the Meeting, please email them through to csm2009@arinex.com.au

Notification of Acceptance

All abstracts will be peer reviewed. Abstracts submitted for the Radiology and Radiation Oncology programs will be blinded reviewed (reviewers will be blind to the author details and institution(s) of origin). Reviewers for abstracts submitted for the Radiation Therapy, Medical Imaging and the Physicists Program will have access to the author’s details and institution(s) of origin .Notifications of acceptance will be sent via e-mail to the submitting author at the end of June 2009. Scientific Papers submitted for oral presentations that cannot be accommodated within the meeting program will be considered and reviewed for a place in the Scientific Exhibits / Educational Exhibits/ Posters.

Accepted abstracts will be published in the meeting proceedings. The Meeting Managers will not be held responsible for abstract submissions not received via the website or for submission errors caused by Internet service outages, hardware or software delays, power outages or unforeseen events.
